Bridging difference, building change.

The Setu CIC is a lived-experience-led inclusion consultancy working with third-sector, public-sector and values-led private-sector organisations across the UK and internationally.

We help organisations move beyond one-off EDI training and unread policy documents by embedding equity, accessibility and culturally responsive practice into leadership, decisions, structures and everyday work.

Beyond this, we are building a Lived Experience Library digital archive resource - help fund and partner with us!

Why we do this work

Setu means bridge. Not a bridge that already exists - one that's built, deliberately, by people who've stood on both sides of the gap.

We are Sabah Sharma and Chris Brown. Together, we bring more than fifty years of experience across EDI leadership, belonging creation and organisational development, public services, mental health, suicide prevention, disability and LGBTQ+ health inclusion.

We have worked within the systems intended to serve marginalised communities – as practitioners, employees and people directly affected when those systems fall short – so our advice connects institutional realities with lived experience.

We recognise the difference between inclusion that remains aspirational and inclusion that changes how an organisation makes decisions, allocates resources and treats people. Our perspective has been shaped by working across organisations, geographies and communities, including repairing the effects of decisions made without sufficient attention to equity, accessibility or lived experience.

Why Us?

Lived Experience Led

What makes The Setu CIC different is the combination of more than fifty years of professional experience with direct lived experience of exclusion and institutional barriers.

We bring expertise spanning EDI and organisational development, frontline mental health and suicide prevention, disability and LGBTQ+ health inclusion, leadership development and intersectional psychotherapy training.

That breadth allows us to connect strategy with human impact and turn inclusion commitments into practical, accountable change.

Practical and Accessible

Our work is designed around practical evidence of change: clearer decisions, more accessible services, stronger leadership accountability and policies that shape day-to-day practice.

A Bridge to Change
